In 2015 I was so excited to be approached by a publisher to write a book. I thought it would be pretty easy since they were coming to me with the idea.
But no, not even close.
First I found out I had to pitch the book to them!
Then, a few weeks before the book was finished, they asked me what my plan was to market the book!
Needless to say I was baffled. I thought the purpose of having a publisher so they could market and sell the book.
I was wrong.
To make a long story short, this experience threw me for such a loop that I completely forgot the strategies I had used to help other authors attain best seller status and make money from their books.
And speaking of money, the other day I ran the numbers and found I’ve made $2,184.29 in royalties, since 2015! That’s roughly $873 per year.
That doesn’t even cover my cell phone bill (so expensive in the U.S.), and it’s definitely not enough to make a living, that’s for sure.
Thankfully that’s not the end of my story…
A few years after the book was published I used it to land multiple 5-figure consulting engagements and speak at conferences.
But why am I telling you this?
I could have landed those consulting and speaking engagements a lot sooner if I had a strategy in place BEFORE writing my book.
If you’re thinking of writing a book (which I do recommend), or have written a book but, like 99% of authors out there, sold less than 100 copies, I’ve got something for you.
I created this template to get you started creating the strategy you need to turn many years of waiting to make money from your book into months or even weeks. Hell, I know one author who lined up a paid speaking engagement before her book was even written!
I’ve also got a special bonus waiting for you once you download it.
