Many CRM (customer relationship management) applications allow you to set up custom fields, as well as import data from external sources. When working B2B, one field I always set up, if it isn’t already there, is the LinkedIn company page URL. If your CRM allows you to import LinkedIn data, you can get the company information automagically. If it doesn’t, it’s time to set up some custom fields to hold that information.
One such field is the company industry.
Knowing the industries that your clients are in is important. When it comes to using data mining to model your clients, and creating targeted marketing offers, the industry is one piece of info you’ll want. However, not all CRM apps have a list of industries, and if they do, they don’t match up with what LinkedIn has.
Not to worry my friend! Fill out the form below to download the complete list.
Once you get the list, import that into your CRM. When you’re filling out company information, or your CRM automatically fills in the information for you, you’ll have a 1:1 link between your CRM and LinkedIn.
