Wouldn’t it be great to be thanked for the many hours of work you’ve spent on your open source project?
Well now you can!
After seeing a number of people thank my employer on Twitter for the open source projects we’ve created over the years, it gave me the idea to make it simple for people to thank anyone for their projects. So one night a few weeks ago, Thanks For Your Repo was born.
For developers using Github, Thanks For Your Repo gives you a method for adding a little button to your README file.
When you click the button, it creates a custom thank you message on Twitter.
